This policy explains how Furniture Warehouse, a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit furniturewarehouse.irish or buy from us.
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number when you place an order or contact us.
- Payment details: handled by our payment providers, Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: such as the pages you visit, your browser and device type and the site that referred you, collected through Google Analytics as described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To process and deliver your order and give you customer support.
- To send order confirmations and delivery updates, and marketing emails only where you have agreed to them.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We rely on the contract with you to process your order, on your consent for analytics and marketing, on our legitimate interest in running a secure store, and on legal obligations for our records.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed to run the store: with our payment providers, the couriers and suppliers who deliver your order, our email and hosting providers, and Google for analytics. They may only use it to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal data. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including our legal, accounting and reporting duties. After that we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to or restrict some processing, including direct marketing;
- receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at dataprotection.ie, or to the regulator in the EU country where you live or work.
Keeping it safe
We use suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections at checkout. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Children
Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you think a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date.
